Acceptable use policy
The things you may not do with our network. Short, because most of it is obvious.
Last updated: August 2026
The principle
Use the service lawfully, don't harm other people, and don't endanger the network. Everything below follows from that.
Prohibited traffic
- Traffic that is unlawful in the originating or destination jurisdiction.
- Fraudulent traffic, including artificially inflated traffic, traffic pumping and revenue-share fraud.
- Traffic presenting a caller identity you do not have the right to use, or spoofing intended to deceive.
- Traffic that circumvents interconnect or regulatory arrangements, including unauthorised gateway operation.
- Automated dialling that does not comply with the rules of the destination market.
Messaging
- No unsolicited commercial messaging. Recipients must have opted in.
- Opt-out requests must be honoured immediately and permanently.
- Sender identities must be registered where the market requires it and must not impersonate anyone.
- No phishing, malware distribution or content designed to deceive.
- South African traffic must meet the WASPA code of conduct.
Network and platform
- No attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another customer's data.
- No activity that degrades the service for others, including deliberate overload.
- No reverse engineering of the platform, and no sub-licensing outside what your agreement permits.
- Report vulnerabilities to us rather than exploiting them. We'll respond properly and won't pursue good-faith researchers.
Content
We do not monitor the content of your calls or messages, and we don't want to. But we will act on credible reports of the service being used for fraud, harassment, child exploitation, or the incitement of violence.
Enforcement
- Minor or apparently accidental breach: we'll contact you and expect it fixed.
- Serious breach — fraud, unlawful traffic, or activity endangering the network: immediate suspension, then a conversation.
- Persistent breach: termination.
- Where the law requires us to report something, we will.
We'd rather warn you than cut you off. But if traffic is actively causing harm, protecting the network and other customers comes first.
Reporting abuse
If you believe traffic from our network is being used abusively, email noc@zephyrtelecomms.com with the numbers, timestamps and what you observed. We investigate every credible report.
