Recorded, searchable,
and defensible.
Recording a call is easy. Being able to prove months later who accessed it, why it was kept, and that nobody altered it is the part that matters when a regulator or a lawyer asks.
Recording at a glance
- Selective or full recording, configurable per extension, queue or tenant
- Retention policy per tenant, applied automatically with deletion logged
- Legal hold overriding retention for nominated records until released
- Tamper detection — integrity checks on every stored recording
- Consent capture recorded against the contact with timestamp and source
- Full access audit — who listened, when, and from where
- Recordings stay in South Africa, subject to South African law
The recording isn't the hard part
Any system can capture audio. The questions that come up in a dispute are different: was there a lawful basis, was the person told, who has listened since, has it been altered, and why is it still here two years later.
- Documented purpose per recording rule, not a blanket setting
- Searchable transcripts so you can find the call without listening to fifty
- Subject access requests handled — locate, export or delete on request
- Deletion is evidenced, not just performed

Recording & compliance questions
Is call recording legal in South Africa?
Recording is lawful where you have a legal basis and meet the notification requirements. RICA governs interception and POPIA governs the personal information in the recording. In practice that means telling people they're being recorded, having a documented purpose, applying retention limits and being able to honour deletion requests. We give you the tooling; the policy decisions remain yours.
How long are recordings kept?
You set it, per tenant. Financial services often need years; a sales team may want ninety days. Retention runs automatically and deletion is logged so you can evidence it.
Can recordings be tampered with?
Not without it being detectable. Recordings carry integrity checks and every access is written to an audit log with who, when and why.
Can I put a legal hold on specific calls?
Yes. Legal hold overrides the retention policy for nominated records until you release it, which is what you need when a matter is in dispute.
